About Maspeth Tattoo
Maspeth Tattoo grew from a simple idea: make strong custom tattoo work feel at home in a straightforward neighborhood studio.
Our Story
Founder Marco DeLuca grew up around Queens and started drawing long before tattooing became a career. As a teenager, he filled sketchbooks with subway riders, storefront lettering, neighborhood buildings and portraits of friends. That interest in faces, line and everyday New York imagery eventually led him into tattooing, where he learned that the conversation with a client could be just as important as the drawing itself.
After spending years working around New York studios, Marco wanted to build something closer to the communities that shaped him. He opened Maspeth Tattoo around the belief that clients should be able to ask questions without feeling out of place and that custom tattooing should involve real collaboration. Maspeth made sense: it is a working Queens neighborhood with deep roots, close to the Brooklyn border and connected to the communities where Marco had spent much of his life.
As the studio developed, Marco brought in Elena Ruiz and Devin Park, two artists whose approaches complement his own. Elena's patience with fine details and botanical forms balances Marco's interest in black and grey and portrait-driven compositions, while Devin brings an energetic eye for color and illustrative work. Together, they keep the studio focused on careful design, straightforward communication and tattoos that feel personal to the people wearing them.

Where We Work
We are based around Maspeth and serve New York, including Ridgewood, Middle Village, Sunnyside, Jackson Heights, Elmhurst, and East Williamsburg.
How We Work
Listen before drawing
A good tattoo starts with understanding why the client chose the subject, what they want visually and how they imagine living with the piece.
Explain the tradeoffs
Not every detail works at every size or placement. We would rather explain a limitation and find a better solution than simply say yes.
Respect the individual
People come into tattoo studios with different experiences, comfort levels and reasons for getting tattooed. We aim to make the process welcoming and straightforward.
Stay connected to the neighborhood
